This is where it begins - a poem, a quiet night, and a friend Louey didn't know was coming!

"Wrapped in the scent of sweet lilacs, a whimsical white house sat perched on top of a green hill. Two tall chimneys poked out of its roof, reaching into the starry skies. On this particular night, they were lit by the soft glow of two small moons.
It was an unusual hill and an unusual house, for both were on the planet named Marsimble—a special planet where only animals lived. And these animals could talk and think just like people.
Inside that house, by a large window, stood an intricately carved wooden table. At that table sat a large orange cat with a white belly. His name was Louey. Louey was unique—not only was he wise, but he also loved to write whimsical poetry.
At this moment, Louey was looking out of the window into the warm night. But what was he looking at? Was it the sweet lilacs sprawling around, or the fields spreading beneath? No, Louey was gazing beyond the two shining moons, into the far distance, at a tiny blue dot—the planet Earth. Next to him, on the table, was his trusty communication device, an adorable orange-shaped gadget called the Purrange.
Louey's gaze shifted to the Purrange. “I wonder what Bassy is up to now in her lab on Earth with that grand experiment she mentioned? She told me it would make me happy, but how? I miss them and wish they could visit, but it takes seven months to fly here from Earth.”
Louey loved stargazing and thinking about his family on Earth. Feeling inspired, he reached for his cherished golden pen and began writing a new poem:
In the quiet of a lilac night,
The double moons are shining bright.
My pen is dancing to write a song
For a friend to come and sing along.
On forest paths and grassy shores,
We romp together, whiskers and paws.
By hidden lakes and mountain caves,
We romp together, sharing tales.
I long for a friend in Marsimble’s lands
To laugh together in moonlit sands.
Louey's verse-making was interrupted by a soft purr from his Purrange. “Aha! Bassy must have peeked into my thoughts!” he chuckled and tapped the Purrange open.
Like magic, Bassy's hologram popped up, shimmering in the calm of the night.
Bassy’s excitement was clear, her grin stretching from ear to ear. “Guess what, Louey? Our grand experiment is a gigantic success! And get ready—your new friend is zooming across the stars, heading straight to Marsimble! Your home coordinates are all plugged into her navigation map! More to say, but I want it to be a surprise. Off I go! Can't wait to see you both over the Purrange soon!”
And in a flash, Bassy's hologram slipped back into the Purrange. The night was quiet again.
Puzzled, Louey sat still. “Zooming across the stars? Coordinates in HER navigation map?” he wondered. “Who might she be? No point in guessing, I suppose. I can only wait and see...”

My Creative Beginnings: Where Whimsy Tales, Aromatic Tea, and Cat Louey Converge
Some stories begin with a grand idea. Mine? It started with a cat. A cat who, in his own quiet way, nudged me toward a world where animals and plants could have a planet of their own.
My journey into storytelling began around our family's kitchen table - my parents were quantum physicists, and my grandma, a berry expert, kept our home happy with her delicious baked treats.
On cozy nights, we'd gather around the kitchen table with tea and grandma's berry pies, spinning whimsical tales about planets, rabbits, quarks, and flowers. Those magical cozy nights stayed with me for decades, until a certain orange cat’s gentle persistence helped turn that old love of storytelling into something entirely new.
One day, while waiting for my own berry pie to bake, I began doodling on my iPad. Our cat Louey was watching and helping - everyone who has a cat knows how expertly cats help! Line by line, the adventurous team with Cat Louey at the helm came to life. That same evening, I shared it with my family. We named this newly baked land "The Land of Berry Pies," placed it on a planet called Marsimble, and its story began!
What if human DNA evolved to let people change shape, adapting to their surroundings the way a cuttlefish shifts its form or a chameleon melts into the trees? What if a cloud could think, dream, and chase lost echoes? What if animals had a world where they made the rules? These aren’t just bedtime stories; they’re playful invitations to wonder, imagine, and ask big questions, the kind that spark the minds of future scientists, dreamers, and explorers.
And maybe, one day, a child will stand in front of a mirror - just like our curious Cloud Chloe - and ask, "What shape should I be today? Shall I have a fluffy tail, strong wings, or shimmering feathers?"
I hope these stories bring as much joy to your home as Louey and I had dreaming them up!
